Current research indicates that when Red-Light Therapy is utilized in combination with photosensitive materials such as Liposomal Methylene Blue, it enhances the benefits of both therapies.
When RLTis used in combination with Liposomal Methylene Blue, it is photoactivated. This increases the function of the mitochondria, whichleads to enhanced production of ATP (CELL ENERGY).
Red Light Therapy (RLT) has been studied extensively since the early 1990s.  It is currently being studied for its tremendous potential in medicine.
NASA’s interest is in connection with the ability of Light Therapy to treat muscle atrophy and bone density, both issues of weightlessness during space travel.
RLT has since been researched for its ability to effectively increase cellular metabolism. This makes it an effective treatment for skin issues such as wrinkles, scars, persistent and non-healing wounds.
Several types of RLT such as red-light beds in salons have shown to help reduce wrinkles and stretchmarks.
Red-light works by producing a biochemical effect in cells that strengthens the mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell – where the cell energy is created).
The result is decreased inflammation and swelling.
